Computer Labs
Faculty, staff, and students of the School of Computing at Armstrong Atlantic State
University use a network of Windows 2000/XP and Linux systems that are
connected to a server for their research and teaching. The department's
instructional systems include 4 undergraduate labs with 80 PCs running on
either Windows 2000/XP and Linux systems; 2 graduate labs with 10 PCs running on
Windows 2000/XP; a mobile computing lab with 30 handheld
devices running on Palm OS, a network lab, a server running on Windows 2000, and an open
lab with 49 PCs running on Windows 2000/XP. The network
of the School of Computing is connected to the campus network and Internet
via the University's network services.
