Welcome to the NEWS Research Group Website
Our research interests are motivated by a fundamental question: How can current technologies support remote, real-time interactions that would permit users to participate in volumetric medical, engineering, or scientific projects as a team yet allow each member to retain a unique perspective? We believe that novel paradigms for collaboration will lead to startling observations and enhanced creativity from the participants as a result of the synergy that develops among a group of people working together even if they are not physically present in the same space.
