I have worked on a number of problems in statistical physics. Much of this research has involved applying the tools of computational complexity theory to problems in statistical physics in an attempt to get a new measure of complexity for such problems. I have looked at a number of different growth processes and fractal processes in this work.
I have been very fortunate to work with Jon Machta in all of my research in this area. Jon introduced me to this research and we have collaborated on a number of joint projects. Ken Moriarty; a PhD student of Jon's; Jon, and I have recently written a paper on a parallel algorithm for diffusion limited aggregation.
