Students are strongly encouraged to submit homework typeset in \LaTeX\/. The lowest score on an assignment will not factor into the grade. \\ \noindent {\sc Midterms:}\\ We will have two one-class period exams. Dates to be announced in class.\\ \noindent {\sc Final Project:}\\ The final project will involve research on a recent topic in discrete mathematics. A list of topics will be circulated in class. Projects are due on December 2.\\ \noindent {\sc Final Presentation:}\\ During the last week of class each student will make a brief presentation of the final project.\\ \noindent {\sc Policies:}\\ Turn all assignments in on time.
