Chatham Steel Corporation, Savannah, Ga. has an immediate opening in their Information Technology Department for a Programmer Analyst/Computer Operator.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent degree
- Understanding of 3GL programming with an emphasis in structured programming design
- Understanding of Relational Database Design
- Knowledge of RPG III, RPG/400, or RPG IV preferred
- Knowledge of the IBM iSeries/AS400 computer system preferred
- PC literacy is a must
- Support existing software applications written in RPG III, RPG/400, and RPG IV in an IBM iSeries/AS400 environment
- Debug and correct application problems so applications will function as designed and required
- Design, develop, test and implement new system functions, reports and queries in an IBM iSeries/AS400 environment
- Develop work instructions to support applications
- Effectively communicate with team members on project needs and progress
- Maintain a relevant understanding of new programming and development technologies
- Other duties as may be assigned
- Ability to work on multiple projects under deadlines
- Self motivated, aggressive, and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Ability to coordinate with management on project schedules, requirements, goals and assignments
