Job Title: Java Software Developer

Job Description:
Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) a Fortune 500 Company, is the largest employee-owned research and engineering company in the US. We provide information technology, systems integration, and eSolutions worldwide., We are seeking a Software Developer for our Atlanta, GA office who will assist in developing a web-based tracking application for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The goal of the project is to create an enterprise tool accessible via other applications (through SOAP services) or via a custom web interface. The Software Developer will initially help design, develop, and test the web-based front end to the enterprise application using the Apache STRUTS framework. The software lifecycle will follow the Rational Unified Process (RUP). This position requires a certain amount of travel and communication with team members in other locations.

Required Skills:
Position requires a minimum of 2 years related technical experience. Object-oriented programming experience using Java, JSPs, servlets, and HTML to develop web applications.

Desired Skills:
Experience with J2EE, Apache Tomcat, Apache STRUTS, Eclipse IDE. Iterative development process experience using RUP and related tools (Rational Rose, ClearCase, ClearQuest, Requisite Pro).

Education:
B.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
