Online content producer sought

SavannahNOW.com, the web site of the Savannah (Ga) Morning News is seeking an individual with online programming skills to join our award-winning team.

This online content producer will create database-driven applications and special sections and use flash, audio and video to add multimedia enhancements to stories.

This is a position that encourages creativity and group discussion. The producer sits among newsroom editors and reporters and is ideal for someone with excellent project management skills.

The candidate must have a strong understanding of web based programming languages such as html, xml, cgi and java script. Advanced flash action scripting is highly desired. Familiarity with graphics/web development software is a must, including Photo Shop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver. Knowledge of both the Macintosh and PC platforms required.

SavannahNOW.com is the 2001, 2002 and 2004 winner of the NAA New Media Federation Digital Edge Award for best newspaper web site in its circulation category.
